BALLOONS!
Someone asked what is their to do in Switzerland in Winter other than ski? How about some hot air. The last week of January the blue skies over west central Switzerland fill with the colorful bag of hot air balloons in fancy shapes at the Swiss Balloon Festival of Chateau D’Oex with Family Day falling on Thursday. Get there by taking the Golden Pass Train Route from Lucerne or Geneva-Montreux.
